January 30, 2012: The Dawgs picked up a big commitment today as Memphis, TN ATH/CB Sheldon Dawson chose the Dawgs over Ole Miss, Arkansas, Ohio State and many others. His bio has been added to the 2012 Commitments page.
January 24, 2012: UGA commitment Chester Brown (OL - Hinesville, GA) has de-committed. He's now considering UCF, Tulane and Syracuse.
January 15, 2012: Somehow we forgot to update the commitment list after DE/OLB Jordan Jenkins' commitment last Monday. Jenkins is one of the top seniors in the state and chose the Dawgs over Alabama, Florida and Auburn. His bio has been added to the 2012 Commitments page.
January 14, 2012: The Dawgs got a commitment from one of the top RBs in the country yesterday as Todd Gurley (Tarboro, NC) chose the Dawgs over Clemson and NC State. His bio has been added to the 2012 Commitments page.
December 14, 2011: Coffeyville C.C. OL Mark Beard has committed to UGA. He will start school in January and has three years of eligibility left. His bio has been added to the 2012 Commitments page.
December 6, 2011: The Dawgs picked up one of the top players in the country today as Raleigh, NC running back Keith Marshall chose the Dawgs over Clemson, Florida, Notre Dame and North Carolina. His bio has been added to the 2012 Commitments page.
November 14, 2011: The Dawgs picked up a commitment from West Palm Beach, FL dual-threat QB Faton Bauta over the weekend. His bio has been added to the 2012 Commitments page.
October 5, 2011: Somehow we forgot to add WR Blake Tibbs to the commitments list. He committed on 9/24/11, choosing the Dawgs over Arkansas, Kentucky, Southern Miss and others. His bio has been added to the 2012 Commitments page.
September 2, 2011: The Dawgs picked up a commitment Friday from Thomson, GA DT John Atkins. Aktins chose the Dawgs over Auburn, Florida, Georgia Tech and many others. His bio has been added to the 2012 Commitments page.
August 12, 2011: WR C.J. Curry has de-committed to UGA and is now committed to Oklahoma State.
August 7, 2011: The Dawgs picked up a commitment Friday from one of the top players in Maryland. Baltimore OT Greg Pyke chose the Dawgs over Virginia Tech, Penn State and many others. His bio has been added to the 2012 Commitments page
July 20, 2011: The Dawgs picked up a commitment today from Hinesville, GA OL Chester Brown. His bio has been added to the 2012 Commitments page
July 15, 2011: Huge weekend for the Dawgs as they picked up 5 commitments during 'Dawg Night'. OT John Theus, one of the top overall players in the country, is the lone 2012 commitment. He is the brother of 2011 signee Nathan Theus. His bio has been added to the 2012 Commitments page.

June 12, 2011: The Dawgs picked up four commitments over the weekend. Blackshear fullback Quayvon Hicks, Cartersville punter Colin Barber and Millen (Jenkins Co. HS) teammates DT Jonathan Taylor and DE James Deloach all chose the Dawgs. Taylor and Deloach were considered two of the top prospects in the state. Their bios have been added to the 2012 Commitments page.
April 28, 2011: Dodge County OLB/TE Leonard Floyd has committed to the Dawgs. He also had offers from Alabama, Florida and several other schools. His bio has been added to the 2012 Commitments page.
March 27, 2011: Moultrie, GA TE Ty Smith has committed to the Dawgs. He also had an offer from Florida and several other schools. His bio has been added to the 2012 Commitments page.
February 5, 2011: JUCO DT John Jenkins, one of the top targets of Georgia, has committed to the Dawgs. His bio has been added to the 2011 Commitments page.
February 2, 2011: Happy Signing Day!
As most know Lauderdale Lakes, FL LB Kent Turene and Columbus, GA RB Isaiah Crowell signed with UGA today. Rivals, Scout and ESPN all currently have the Dawgs' recruiting class ranked 6th nationally. Georgia is still waiting for the decision of JUCO DT John Jenkins. He is announcing Saturday, Feb 5. All signees have been added to the 2011 Signee page.
